Construction Manager - Qualifications Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) is a plus.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on residential, commercial, or sustainable home construction.
- Proven track record in successfully overseeing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Hands-on experience with both green building practices and energy-efficient home construction.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Project Management:
- Expertise in managing construction timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Skilled in scheduling software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or MS Project.
- Construction Techniques:
- Strong knowledge of eco-friendly construction methods, including solar power installation, energy-efficient HVAC systems, green roofing, and passive house designs.
- In-depth understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and regulations related to green and sustainable building practices.
- Familiarity with construction materials, including sustainable, recycled, and locally sourced options.
Leadership & Communication:
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams of construction workers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that safety, quality, and deadlines are met.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts, materials, and labor costs.
Safety & Compliance:
- In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices for safety on job sites.
- Experience conducting safety audits, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, AutoCAD, MS Excel, or similar).
- Knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting tools.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and other digital tools used in modern construction processes is a plus.
Certifications:
- OSHA Certification (or willingness to obtain within a set time).
- LEED Accreditation or Green Building Certification is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.

Salary Range:
- Annual Salary: $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and location.
